A two-minute phone call often means the difference between a life saved—and a life lost. That’s why we’re so thankful for your support that’s made our new call center a reality.
Those first few moments when a woman facing the crisis of an unplanned pregnancy calls us are crucial to helping her visit our centers instead of an abortion clinic. It’s not hard to imagine why…
A young woman receives the terrifying news that she’s unexpectedly pregnant, so she panics. She does a quick Google search, finds a Prestonwood Pregnancy Center ad, and calls us. But the line rings and rings before anyone can pick up. Or someone does answer the phone, but the call is quickly placed on hold.
So the scared young woman hangs up… and makes an appointment at the closest abortion clinic because of a simple customer service issue.
This could have happened before our call center came online. Until recently, our staff team was answering calls in between doing their regular jobs (sonograms, client appointments, etc.). This didn’t just make it harder for our staff to serve clients in person, but also there are four staff to an office. So there were often multiple calls with abortion-minded women going on at the same time in a small space.
Of course, we know this ministry we share isn’t just about providing excellent customer service, as vital as that is. Together, we’re on the front lines of spiritual care, intercepting vulnerable women when they’re at their weakest. This requires a specialized level of service and attention, and strict client confidentiality—all of which our new call center can provide.
As you can see from this graphic, call center volume continues to increase. This is a wonderful “problem” to have, so thank you for praying for the continued effectiveness of our dedicated call center staff.
