You helped give Ana Sophia a change of heart
An undecided heart is a vulnerable thing.
And nearly every time Ana Sophia has walked through the doors of Prestonwood Pregnancy Center, it’s been with a heavy, undecided heart.
In 2017, she chose life for the sweet baby growing inside her.
In 2019, she did not.
Now a 28-year-old mother of two, Ana Sophia bears emotional scars from the baby she terminated. And she recently walked through our doors with a heavy, undecided heart– again.
A sonogram confirmed her pregnancy, and through tears, she shared that money is tight. The father of the baby has refused to support her if she keeps this child and is demanding an abortion.
But Ana Sophia had an abortion once. And she hung her head when she told the story…
She’d made an appointment– but couldn’t go through with it. Eventually, under severe pressure, she’d relented and rescheduled, giving in and getting the procedure. But it left a deep sorrow that nearly crushed her.
Too many women have discovered what Ana Sophia did. Alone, unsupported, and under pressure, they give into an abortion– and find heartbreak on the other side.
But our Heavenly Father waits, ready to tend to their vulnerable hearts by carrying them close to His own. Isaiah 40:11 says,
“He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.”
God tenderly led Ana Sophia when she walked through the doors of the Center.
One of our client advocates held Ana Sophia’s hand as she listened to the story, then shared the Gospel with her. Together they prayed– and Ana Sophia accepted Christ into her heart.
A week later when the advocate called to follow up, Ana Sophia announced she’d finally made a decision– to choose life and parent her unborn child with the support of her family.
Stories like this don’t happen without friends like you, so thank you for helping hundreds of moms like Ana Sophia turn an undecided heart into the right decision– for themselves and their babies.
