What to Do If You’re Pregnant and Homeless

Finding out you’re pregnant can feel overwhelming. If you’re also facing homelessness or unstable housing, the situation can feel even more stressful and uncertain.

You might be asking yourself questions like:

Where will I live?

How will I afford a baby?

Is there any help available for someone in my situation?

The good news is that you are not alone, and there are organizations and resources that exist specifically to help women facing situations just like this.

Start by Confirming Your Pregnancy

If you think you might be pregnant, the first step is confirming the pregnancy with a lab-quality pregnancy test and ultrasound.

An ultrasound can tell you:

  • How far along you are
  • Whether the pregnancy is viable
  • What next steps may be available

Prestonwood Pregnancy Center offers these services completely free and confidentially, so you can get accurate information before making any decisions.

Look for Free Support Services

If you’re pregnant and experiencing housing instability, there may be more help available than you realize. This might include…

  • Temporary housing programs
  • Medical care referrals
  • Food and nutrition assistance
  • Parenting classes
  • Baby supplies like diapers, clothing, and cribs

We offer free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and guidance, and can also connect you to community resources for housing, baby essentials and financial support.

You Don’t Have to Figure Everything Out Today

When you’re facing multiple challenges at once, it’s easy to feel like you need all the answers immediately. But the truth is that taking the first step is enough right now.

Talking with someone who understands your situation can help you explore your options and identify resources that can support you through your pregnancy.

Free and Confidential Help Is Available

If you think you may be pregnant and are unsure what to do next, we would love the opportunity to help you navigate it all. Reaching out for help can give you the information and support you need to move forward with confidence.

Book your appointment today and let us walk this journey by your side.
