If you choose to parent, our education programs will equip you with tools to help you and provide you with necessities to care for your new baby.

In addition to our class schedule, Prestonwood Pregnancy Center can help you locate information regarding insurance, housing, baby items, and medical care as well as connect you with other community resources.

Richardson Class Schedule

Breastfeeding 101

Find answers to all your breastfeeding questions in this class while learning how easy it can be to successfully breastfeed your new baby. No childcare available.

Mondays: January 27th, February 24th, March 30
Time: 6:30pm to 8:00pm

Childbirth Education

Come learn what happens in labor, when you should go to the hospital, and relaxation and breathing techniques to use in labor and delivery. This class will also cover post-partum care and newborn care, and is for women who are 25-40 weeks pregnant. No childcare available.

Wednesdays: March 4th, March 18th
Time: 10:30am to 12:30pm

Engage Parenting

This class offers practical ideas and positive encouragement for parents of all ages. We discuss topics such as child development, discipline, communication, emotional health, nutrition and finances. Childcare is available. Dinner will be provided. Certificates will be given for completing eight classes.

Thursdays: February 13th (Understanding the Power of Nurture), March 12th (Developing an Emotionally Healthy Home)

Job Skills

Are you trying to find a new job, but you’re not sure where to begin? This class will help prepare you for your job search and the interview process. Each month, the instructor will rotate through different topics, such as résumé building, marketing yourself on social media, etiquette, interview skills, how to dress for success and more. 

Saturdays: February 1st, March 7th

Money Matters

This class is for anyone who is needing help managing their money. Attend this class to get practical tips and tools for balancing your budget, maximizing money for your growing family, and information about free resources within the community.

Mondays: February 3rd, March 2nd

Nutrition

Have any questions about what to eat during your pregnancy, after your pregnancy, or what to feed your children? This class will cover a variety of topics that all relate back to nutrition throughout and after your pregnancy!

Post-Partum Depression

This should be the happiest time for you, but why do you feel so sad? It is not abnormal to feel sad after you have your baby. Attend this class to learn the signs and symptoms of post-partum depression, and ways you can care for yourself. This course also offers a support at a different time, if interested.

Relationships: You Have A Choice

Learn how to set healthy dating boundaries, and how to improve your relationship with your significant other. This class will equip you to learn how to love yourself first, expectations, intolerance, safety, boundaries, environment and more. No childcare available.

Sensory Play

This class is led by a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. She will speak to you about the importance of encouraging tummy-time during play, correct ways to position your baby and sensory play ideas. She will share fun, inexpensive and easy ideas to make your baby’s play-time a more meaningful experience, while at the same time sharing ideas for tools and toys that engages all of your baby’s senses, promoting healthy habits and development.

Southwest (Duncanville) Class Schedule

Baby and Me

This class will provide mom with tools on balancing life with her new baby. Also, how to embrace the new normal by applying both biblical truths and practical living. This session will also dispel fears that could potentially cause future problems.

Thursdays: March 5th, March 12th, and March 26th
Time: 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Breastfeeding 101

Breastfeeding can provide a special bond and nutritious support for baby. Even though it is natural doesn’t mean it comes naturally. You will feel empowered with information and coaching from our trained nurse. Have questions about breastfeeding? How do you increase milk supply? Should you try pumping instead of breastfeeding? The class is great for pregnant moms preparing for baby and for newly nursing moms.

Fridays: January 31st
Time: 1:30pm to 2:30pm

Fatherhood & Father Figures

These will be multi-faceted classes for fathers and father figures. It will be a safe space for men to ask questions, express anxiety and tackle any common fears of becoming a father. Also, whether you’re unemployed or underemployed this class will provide you with effective job search tools and resume writing. For those considering entrepreneurship, come learn the process of designing and launching a small business. Lastly, learn how to deepen your connections and how to set healthy boundaries in relationships. MEN ONLY Attend 2 or more sessions to receive a suit or shirt & tie.

Heart Two Heart

How do two hearts become one? How do you make the best of your relationship? Learn how to deepen your connections and how to set healthy boundaries. Find guidance to take the next step towards marriage and nurture one another when the going gets tough.

Live Grow Know

Live, Grow, Know will provide inspirational and fun sessions that encourage spiritual growth and support. When you know, you grow…and when you grow, you live fully. Creative illustrations and fun studies learned in class each week will help you live a full life.

Making Mommy Moves

Come enjoy this low impact, sitting position, movement class that will leave you feeling energized and strong! This class will help you; realign and strengthen muscles for delivery, ease the stress and strain on joints, release back tension during and after pregnancy. Most of all you will have fun! No babysitter? No worries! It’s a kid-friendly environment. Dads are welcomed.

Matters of the Heart

This class will teach you how to recognize the experiences of life that are weighing you down and keeping you from moving forward. Let’s release the past, restore the present, rebuild the future and renew the heart.

New Year, New Mom, New Me

Am I ready? Where’s the mommy manual? Are you a first-time mom? Don’t worry! We have tips and information that will help you embrace this new journey. Also, come learn how to create goals and strategies for you and your family in preparation for the new year.

Shine

Self-esteem is our individual evaluation of how we view our own worth and value. Self-esteem encompasses beliefs about oneself as well as our emotional states such as; triumph, despair, pride, and shame. In this session, we will learn strategies to protect, raise, and reinforce healthy self-esteem.

Tuesdays: March 3rd, March 10th, March 17th, March 24th

Swipe Right

Single and dating. Come learn how to set healthy dating boundaries and identify red flags. This class will equip you to make wise decisions as well as learn how to love yourself in the process. Lastly, evaluate which relationships are best for not only you but for your child.
