Prestonwood Pregnancy Center

For over 30 years across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, Prestonwood Pregnancy Center has been a voice of hope for the unborn and a voice of love for the women carrying them.

With God’s help and the generous contributions from those who are devoted to standing firm with both the baby and the mother, Prestonwood Pregnancy Center has been able to help women find hope where they saw only disaster.

Since its first day, Prestonwood Pregnancy Center has served more over 100,000 women facing unplanned pregnancies. And each year, thousands of women come to the center and receive compassionate care and godly counsel—86% of these mothers choose to give their babies a chance at life!

We are pro-life in word and pro-love in action, and share the love, truth, and grace with each women. As a result, many of these women have put their faith in Jesus Christ! With your continued support, we will continue to center our love and care on pregnant women so that more lives can be saved.

Prestonwood Pregnancy Center operates from both a traditional brick and mortar location, and a mobile clinic. With a desire to offer hope whenever it is needed, Prestonwood Pregnancy Center is open six days a week during normal business hours offering additional late-evening options on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Questions?

At Prestonwood Pregnancy Center, we have worked on developing educational programming that addresses the core needs of our clients. We have an extensive offering… from discipleship to parenting.

We utilize volunteers who are subject matter experts to teach  classes. We are constantly evaluating the educational needs of our clients and adjusting as needed.

An example of our current class offering:

  • Engage Parenting
  • Breastfeeding 101
  • Car Seat Safety
  • Fatherhood 101

We use rewards for clients to earn items like car seats and diapers.

Client services are handled by both staff and volunteers. This is an extensive and well-documented process from paperwork to decision guidance. We try to give away ministry to volunteers so a lot of the appointment process is handled by volunteer client advocates and volunteer nurses.

Our client advocates work closely with every mother, providing life-giving solutions so that they can experience an abundant and fulfilled life.

Pro-life in word and pro-love in action, these volunteers share the message of Christ’s love with these expectant mothers. As a result, many of our mother’s put their faith in Jesus!

Every year, Prestonwood Pregnancy Center staff develops an Operational Plan for the following year that sets goals and develops strategies to achieve the goals. It is an opportunity to dream big and has been crucial in the growth that the center has experienced.

This question deserves attention and planning but from a high-level:

  • Marketing, marketing, marketing
  • Opening another location
  • Opening the new Prestonwood Family Resource Center

We have a full and extensive training program for our new volunteers along with ongoing training for existing volunteers. Training is crucial to the ministry.

Our new volunteer training includes shadowing, skills check, and interviews. The classroom time covers counseling skills, evangelism, adoption, STD testing and treatment, fetal development, talking about sexual integrity, HIPPA, client follow-up, abortion procedures and more. We use speakers from our medical doctors to ministry partners.

In addition, we hold volunteer conferences with a keynote speaker and breakout sessions.

We are Gospel-centered at Prestonwood Pregnancy Center. We train our volunteers and staff to look for an opportunity during the visit in which to introduce the Gospel to our clients. It is the belief of Prestonwood Pregnancy Center that if the volunteer and staff member are watching and listening, that in every visit there will be an opening, after the client feels cared for during the visit.

We teach various evangelism methods allowing the volunteer and staff person to choose the one that they are most comfortable. We train on evangelism and take a more in-depth look at various cultures that we encounter. One recent training was on how to share the Gospel with Muslims which included a basic understanding of Muslim beliefs and how to navigate them during the discussion.

This is a complex question that is influenced by several factors:

  • Scheduling: Expanding the operating hours
  • Location of ministry
  • Volunteer recruitment
  • Marketing

It is the intention that Prestonwood Pregnancy Center will invest resources to help ensure the largest growth possible to have the greatest impact within the local communities.

One God
We believe there is one God: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; who subsist in unity, and also as three separate distinct Persons (John 14:7–16; Genesis 1:1; 1:26–27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Isaiah 40:28–29; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

Jesus Christ, God’s Son
We believe Jesus Christ is God’s Son. He was born of a virgin as both God and man, lived a sinless life, died to atone for the sins of human beings, was buried, arose from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will literally return to earth (Matthew 1:22–23; Isaiah 9:6; 53:5–6; John 1:1–5; 14:10–30; Hebrews 4:14–15; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Romans 1:3–4; Acts 1:9–11; 1 Timothy 6:14–15; Titus 2:13).

The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the divine helper, assistant, counselor, and instructor and His work is to reveal Christ, convict of sin, lead to repentance, guide believers, comfort, strengthen, and sanctify the soul (2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7–13; 14:16–17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; 5:25; Galatians 5:25).

The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s Holy Word, without error, and is the sole authority for life (Psalm 119:105; Romans 15:4; 2 Peter 1:20–21; 2 Timothy 3:16)

Created Man’s Need for God
We believe human beings are the special creations of God, made in His image. They fell through the sin of the first man, Adam, and all human beings are sinners in need of salvation (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3–6; Isaiah 53:6; 59:1–2; Romans 3:23).

Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift through repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ. Every person who truly is saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ and will spend eternity in heaven, while those who die in their sins will spend eternity in hell (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8–9; John 14:6; 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1)

Evangelism

Baptism
We believe baptism is by immersion after salvation and is done in obedience to Jesus Christ’s command (Matthew 3:15–17; Acts 2:38)

Believer’s Access to God
We believe each believer has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ (Hebrews 4:14–16; 7:19; Ephesians 3:12)

The Church
We believe the Church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head (Matthew 16:18; Acts 20:27–29; 1 Corinthians 12:27–29; Ephesians 1:21–23; 3:20–22; 4:1–3; 5:21–27; Colossians 1:17–19).

Sanctity of Life
We believe that human life begins at conception and human beings have been made to be in a relationship with God, who created each person’s inmost being, knit together in the mother’s womb. As God’s individual, personal creation, each person is awesomely and wonderfully made. God has planned and ordained all the days of every person’s life—even before a single day began. (Genesis 1:27; Job 14:5; Job 31:15; Jeremiah 1:5; Psalm 139: 13-16; Psalm 127:3; Ephesians 2:10; 1 Corinthians 3: 16-17)

Marriage
We believe that God has ordained and created marriage to exist between one man and one woman, with absolute marital fidelity. We are committed to the home and family as set forth in the Scriptures.  God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage. It is our firm conviction that we uphold the dignity of each individual as we embrace the unchanging and longstanding principles of scriptural truth. (Genesis 1:27-28, Genesis 2:18-24, Matthew 19:4-9, Mark 10:5-9, Ephesians 5:31-33)
